The Mayor's Award for Literary Achievement
The Mayor's Award for Literary Achievement is a $1,500 prize that recognizes outstanding literary contributions made by a resident of the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). Recipients are those deemed to have made a significant contribution to the literary life of HRM and may include, but not be limited to, authors, publishers, librarians, archivists, journalists, educators, booksellers, and teachers.
