Ann Connor Brimer Award for Children's Literature
The Nova Scotia Library Association is seeking nominations for the 20th annual Ann Connor Brimer Award, a $2000 prize for a children's book which makes an outstanding contribution to children's literature in Atlantic Canada. The purpose of this award is to recognize excellence in writing. The award will be presented in the Spring of 2010 at an event celebrating other major Atlantic book awards. Assistance with travel expenses is available to enable the winning author to attend the award ceremony.

Eligibility Criteria:
Author must be alive and residing in Atlantic Canada at time of nomination
Book intended for youth up to the age of 15
Book published in Canada between October 15, 2008 and October 15, 2009
Book in print and readily available
Fiction or non-fiction (except textbooks)
Steering Committee reserves the right to accept or reject nominations
